Can I change Currencies without becoming a member?
Yes, by using the "Select Currency" option located at the top right of every
page on the site. You can shop, securely, in Euros, US Dollars, Canadian Dollars,
British Pounds, and Australian Dollars. If you register as a member, then every
time you log into the site, the currency will be displayed based on your preferred
currency by Default. That is the currency you will ultimately be charged in
when placing an order.
How does your Currency Conversion work?
Usually on a daily basis, we update our conversion rates, and those conversions
are done based on our standard currency, the Euro. We get our Exchange rates
from our Bank and apply no further markups to them.
Why are prices different now?
Since our entire site is based on the Euro, and we change our conversion rates
so often, you may notice discrepancies in the latest price and past prices.
This is due only to fluctuations in the currency exchange. At the time you place
your order, your credit card will be charged for the amount and currency that
is in your shopping cart. The email confirmation you receive will show the exact
information that was displayed on your shopping cart. Afterward, if you access
your Order Management section, the prices may be off from what is listed there
if you view in a currency other than Euro.
What's the deal with that History Links box?
As you visit through our site, we will keep track of the last 10 pages you visited,
to make it easier for you to go back to something you saw and wanted to look
at again. If you are logged in to the site, then that History links section
will remember the last 10 pages you visited, so it makes it even easier to go
back and look at whatever interested you previously. If you wish to clear the
History, you may do so through your Edit Your Profile
section.
Shipping
Do you provide free shipping?
Yes, we provide free shipping for orders that weigh under 2kg and are over €150
in value. The calculations are already built into our website, so if you qualify,
it will show immediately, and you will not be charged for shipping at checkout.
The free shipping will be via An Posts Registered Priority service to Ireland,
New Zealand, Australia, and to US Territories like Samoa, Guam, the Virgin Island,
etc. The UK, USA, and Canada will be able to avail of free FedEx International
Priority shipping, which will be next Business day shipping after the product
creation lead time. The reason we can offer this accelerated shipping free of
charge to you, is that the rates we are charged by FedEx are very reasonable
for those destinations.
Why are the lead times so long?
The majority of our products are handcrafted, and only starting to be built
at the time of your order. Because of the high quality our craftsmen take in
creating your item, it can take longer than simply buying something off the
shelf. The lead times expressed on this site are in Business Days, so a lead
time of 7 days would really equate to more than 1 week, as Saturdays, Sundays
and Holidays are not factored in.
How much is it going to cost me to ship my orders?
Shipping charges and times are entirely up to you. When you Proceed to Checkout
with your items, several options will be displayed, depending on the country
you are shipping to. You can decide to go with a slower delivery to keep the
costs down, or a faster option if you need it in a hurry. In either case, the
price you are charged is the price we are charged.
Why does it cost so much to ship my orders?
The shipping rates we display on our site are what we have to pay to ship packages
to the destination you have chosen. It also covers packaging and handling, as
well as Insurance and delivery confirmation. For FedEx, it also covers all Duties
and Taxes!
Will I be charged Duties or Taxes when my item reaches
me ?
Since we are located in Dublin Ireland, all of our shipments will originate
from here, not some holding facility in your country. This guarantees that you
are getting Irish products and shipments, not items that simply look Irish!
Unfortunately, this means that you may be subject to VAT, Duties, or other shipping
and import taxes. Our FedEx rates are inclusive of all Duties and Taxes that
may pertain to your order. If you select the FedEx option, there will be no
further charge to you. If you select any other form of shipping, we are unable
to prepay Duties or taxes, so those charges may apply to you, but that will
be up to your local Excise and Customs officials and laws. We suggest going
with the FedEx shipping as often as possible!
How is my order shipped?
At checkout, you will have different options available, ranging from Standard
post to FedEx International Priority. All of our products are shipped out of
our Dublin office to any of the countries we currently deliver to. These include
Ireland, the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as US Territories
such as Guam, Samoa, Virgin Islands, etc.
If you wish to ship to a country not listed, then please contact us.
How Long will it take for my order to ship?
Once your Payment has been processed we start working on your order the very
next business day, and your lead time, which is shown on the Product page, starts.
Once your order is completed, it will be shipped out to you via your chosen
method of shipping, and a confirmation email will be sent to your registered
email address. From there, it can take anywhere from 1 day to 3-4 weeks, depending
on your location and the shipping method you selected upon checking out.

What is your Returns Policy?
Irish Celtic Shop has an unconditional, 30 day money-back guarantee, from receipt
of delivery, if you are not satisfied with your purchases. In this regard, we
exceed the regulations stipulated by the The
EU Distance Selling Directive. We will only refund shipping costs if you
receive the product in un-merchandisable condition, or if you receive the incorrect
item.
In order to organize a Return, reply to the order confirmation email that was
sent to you stating your reason for returning the product. You may also go to
our Contact Us page and submit your request from
there, but please include your order # in the subject field.
Unfortunately, Irish Celtic Shop cannot accept a return for worn clothing, customized
products, or products made especially for you. Also, any charges incurred by
Irish Celtic Shop in relation to this return will be payable by the Returnee.
All items are subject to the manufacturers warranty.

Your privacy and security is of paramount concern to the Irish Celtic Shop team, which
is why at the bottom of every page on our site you will find links to our Privacy
statement, as well as our Terms and Conditions statement.
Please feel free to review them both at any time, but in short:
none of your personal information is accessible by anyone not associated with
our organization. We do not sell, or give, any of your personal details to anyone.

Why should I become a member?
In order to complete a transaction, you will need to register with us. Not only
do you get the opportunity to purchase the quality items you are interested
in, but you will also see discounts applied to your account for future purchases.
When you register, you can sign up to receive our newsletter, which will update
you on the latest developments at our site, but you will also be able to register
to receive notifications when new products are put on our site, even in specific
categories. So, if you are interested to know when we get new gold jewelry,
or new crystal glasses, or any other category you choose, you will be notified!.
How do your discounts work?
Well, our discounts stack together and are applied to your account. If you are
shopping as a Preferred Customer you may have an additional 5%, 10%, or 15%
off. This discount is applied to all products in your shopping cart, but it
does not apply to shipping charges.
How do I qualify for higher discounts?
After you spend €200 at Irish Celtic Shop, you will be set to our Preferred
member status and will receive 5% off all future purchases. Purchasing over
€1,000 will set you to our Gold member status and you will receive 10%
off all future orders. Spending €2000 will set you to our Platinum level,
and you will receive 15% off all future orders. There is no time limit for you
to place these orders, so if it takes you 2 years to reach Platinum level, then
that is fine. Of course, if you buy some of our Platinum rings, you could hit
Platinum level immediately afterwards.
I was viewing my orders in the Account Manager and noticed
that the numbers don't add up correctly, or do not match what I ordered!! What's
up with that?
All of our products are stored in our base currency, the Euro, and the amounts
you are seeing may be shown in a different currency. Since we change our currency
rates several times per week to reflect the fluctuations in the market, it's
quite possible that will affect the displayed amounts in your Order Manager.
Rest assured that the amount you saw when checking out is all that was charged
on your card.
Why should I register for your newsletter? Isn't that
just an excuse for you to spam me with useless emails?
Your happiness with our company is of major importance to us, as it should be
because you are the reason we are here. We offer the newsletter service to provide
you with information YOU want. If you wish only to be notified if new products
are added to our Gold Jewelry section, then that is the only email notification
you will receive. YOU are in control of how much, or little, information we
send to you. If you want to stay notified of everything going on, then subscribe
to our General Subscription. You may also register to receive updates to any
of our categories, or any new Special Offers.
How do I unsubscribe from the newsletter, or change my
selections?
If you are a registered member of our site, then you simply log in and then
visit the Edit Your Profile section found at
the top right of every page. From here, you have total control over what information
you give to us, as well as any subscriptions you want from us.
If you are not a registered member, but only registered to receive our newsletters,
then go back to your Newsletter Subscription email and click the link to unsubscribe.
This will permanently delete your name and email address details from our database.
If you no longer have that email, then simply Contact
Us and we will be happy to remove you manually from the database.

What are my payment options?
Currently, we have the facility to process orders online as long as your are
paying by Visa or Mastercard or Paypal Account. We have also implemented an
"Other" option, which could be in the form of Electronic Funds Transfers or
Bankers Drafts/ Money Orders, as well as Western Union payments. These methods
impose an additional expense on you, the customer, as well as delays in processing
the orders.
If you wish to pursue purchasing products from us using an alternative method
than Credit Card and paypal, then please contact us.
What if I don't have a PayPal account?
You do not need a PayPal account to pay us using PayPal. When you check out
and select PayPal as your payment option, you will be taken to another secure
page on PayPal's site. From there, you can Register for a PayPal account, or
Log in to an existing account, or simply pay by Credit card and not create an
account at all. In order to pay using a credit card, without an account, click
the Signup for a PayPal account. We have set this up to allow you to pay via
Credit card, and after the transaction is completed, you will be offered the
choice to save your information and setup a PayPal account. Of course, that
is entirely up to you!
Is your site safe to shop on?
You will notice when you are logged in, or entering your personal details upon
Checkout, that the address of the page uses HTTPS in the beginning of the address.
This means you are on a secure website. Furthermore, you should see, at the
bottom right of a secure page, a symbol that looks like a padlock. Double-clicking
this will show you the validity of our Server Security. Also, just to take any
mystery out of it, at the bottom right of every page, you will see a secure
seal that is from Thawte. The seal is from their site, and displays Today's
date. Feel free to relax and enjoy our site, as we have done everything we can
to ensure your security while at Irish Celtic Shop.

Do you have any available catalogs?
No, We're afraid that we do not have any offline catalogs, nor is there any
plan to have any in the near future.

I have noticed that some rings are available with trims, can you tell me what trims are?
Trims are only available with our Gold bands. They are an extra rail that is
added to your ring/band. The trims will add approximately 2mm to the width of
your ring.
Do your Pendants/Crosses come with a chain?
All our Pendants/Crosses come with an 18inch chain as standard. The chain provided
will be in the same metal your pendant was ordered in. These necklaces are a
standard Belcher chain and we do not carry any other types of chains.
